Special Programs
Special Programs available to all groups and camps:
Orienteering - this program touches on map reading and navigation, however, its emphasis is compass reading. A course has been designed on the Circle J Ranch by Bob Overton, who will gladly give this 2 hour course to any group. Request for this program must be made to Circle J in advance.
Wood Carving - Paul Bleicher, a local wood carver will gladly demonstrate and lead your group in carving something they can take home with them. Amount of time will vary with age groups. Please arrange with Circle J in advance for this program.

This is the annual day of getting the camp ready to begin the season. Starting time is 9:00 am and lunch will be provided.

UMC Primary Camp - June 19-21

Evening light, morning light. How do these affect photos? Come share in the awesom beauty of Circle J Ranch and take it home with you in pictures. Explore the beauty through devotions and fellowship as you open your feelings to God's gifts to us. Rev. Jarrell Tharp will teach us about God, light, and cameras. Cost $50 for two-day package, provide your own camera and batteries. Open to anyone old enough to take pictures with digital camera.
Christian Music Camp
-June 29-July 3
Come to sing, play, and worship at Circ J Ranch's MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE music camp. Join Rev. Cleve McSwain for vocal, instrumental and ensemble work as well as campfire singing and a presentation. Games, hiking, fishing, etc. also will be done. Make the canyon echo with your music! Cost $99 per person

*A weekend in Silence - August 22-25* NEW!
This is an opportunity to intentionally focus on being in silence with God. We will begin registration on Friday afternoon, have a meal together, then spend some time exploring what it means to enter into the silence in community. We will end the evening by being around the campfire in silence. Meals will be eaten in silence. You may want to spend some time simply enjoying the beauty of Circle J reading, journaling, walking the labryinth, sleeping or expressing yourself throuhg art. Please bring your own supplies. You may also want to schedule a time to meet with the facilitator to discuss issures that arise in your silence with God.
